These essays are where I work through the bits that sit between the bigger pieces - the thoughts that turn up late, the patterns hiding inside ordinary business advice, and the reasons so many founders end up feeling lost even when they are trying hard.

This is the thinking behind The Misfit Engine™ and The Constrained Founder. It is where I pull apart the myths that get sold as common sense - that you can outwork your life, that discipline fixes everything, that everyone has the same capacity, and that being stuck must mean you are not trying hard enough.

A lot of modern business advice creates more pressure than progress. You are told to post every day, be everywhere, stay visible, stay consistent, and never let up. For some people that may be manageable. For many, it just creates stress, guilt, and the feeling that they are always behind. It pushes them towards quantity over quality and noise over judgement.

I am not trying to hype you up here. I am trying to name what is actually going on, in plain English, so you can think more clearly and make decisions that fit your life. Sometimes that means looking at the bigger myths. Sometimes it means looking at the ordinary moments that throw everything off - the school ringing, the form you forgot, the hour that disappears, the brain that will not settle, the sense that the day has somehow gone without you.
