Speaking

If you are organising a podcast, event, workplace session, or education talk, and you want someone speaking about constrained founders from lived experience, not tidy theory, I can help.

I am a constrained founder myself. I have built businesses while raising a family, working with limited time and energy, carrying real financial risk, and trying to make progress with a brain that does not always do what it is told. That is why I speak about the gap between what mainstream business advice assumes and what real founders are actually living.

Most advice quietly assumes you have spare time, spare energy, low stakes, and a life that will politely stay out of the way while you build. Real life does not work like that. You do not get to give 100 per cent to family and 100 per cent to business at the same time. You cannot ignore risk when people depend on you. And if your brain pulls towards perfectionism, delay, distraction, or overthinking, the usual advice often makes things worse, not better.

That is the territory I speak from - the pressure of trying to build something while life keeps interrupting, the guilt that follows when the usual advice does not work, and the need for a more realistic way to think about business, ambition, progress, and success.

I have spent nearly forty years in brand, marketing, and building businesses across very different settings. I am less interested in what sounds clever and more interested in what survives real life. I do not speak from a tidy distance. I speak from experience, and I aim to leave people with something practical, honest, and usable.

I am available for podcasts, keynotes, panels, workplace sessions, and education settings. If you have a theme in mind, I can shape the talk around your audience and the conversation you want to have.

If that sounds useful, get in touch.
